"I love your ideas about using balls in training. My mother has taught some workshops and I've learned some of my favorite training tips from her. One of her tricks is to say with excitement, 'Who's on the BALL?' She then throws a handful of balls into the audience. It livens up the group and keeps them on their toes." Melody, thank you for taking the time to share your mom's tips! I suppose it's true that "mother knows best!" As for what type of ball to use, I've selected the Stringz Ball to accompany your tip because I find them soft and easy-to-catch. We're working on a low-cost product that will consist of a PowerPoint presentation containing 50-75 good, clean jokes. Why? To help when groups need a break, or you need to lessen the tension, relieve stress, and stimulate the brain.

Accelerated learning is sometimes criticized for being too "fluffy." In his article, "Are yours firm or fluffy (outcomes, that is)," Paul Wright explores two ways a trainer could approach course development.
