"The definition of the word 'humane' is:
That which is marked or motivated by concern with the alleviation of suffering." In his article on HumanE Presentations, Rich Allen opens by asking us, "What if our #1 goal as corporate presenters was to make the experience as humane as possible for the people involved?"
To begin to understand what's at stake, we must first understand why Allen capitalizes the letter E.
He explains that it stands for Engagement, because "that is the core of every dynamic, valuable, and successful presentation. When people are truly engaged, fully emotionally present and involved, they will remember our presentations. Not just that they had a good time - but the actual content."
