Let your slide backgrounds work for you!
If the slide backgrounds are too busy, the presenter
(to say nothing of the audience!) doesn't know where
to look. If it's boring, presenters will lose interest in
their OWN presentation. A "perfect" backing can help
the presenter and learner to make information stick.

Create an Icebreaker that works for You
and your Participants!
"It's always a good idea to use the beginning of a
training session as a time to get to know your
participants and for your participants to get to know
each other. By doing so, you begin to create the
interactive community that sustains active learning,"
says Mel Silberman, author of more than 2 dozen
books on active training.
With the myriad of books available on icebreakers it is
not difficult to find one you like. The trick is figuring
out how to make it a "learning icebreaker"--one that
is a content-rich experience, as well as a socially-
enriching one.
In this article, you'll find several examples
of "Learning Icebreakers," as well as some tips on
making one of your favorite icebreakers an important
learning experience.
